Deciphering the human essence

Spanish Influencers in Science - 4th edition

CEBE SciComm · 11-12-2020 10:00 · CEBE's online events

Last October 29th, 2020, the fourth edition of our series of outreach events "Spanish influencers in Science" took place.

For this edition, centered around the human essence, we had the pleasure to count with two renowned scientists: the Spanish paleoanthropologist Juan Luis Arsuaga and the Belgian neuroscientist Axel Cleeremans. Thanks to their experience in two areas as different as human evolution and the development of consciousness, we were able to understand better how human beings have become who we are and what makes us, humans, both similar to and different from other species.

Alike most events in 2020, this event was also marked by Covid restrictions and did not allow in-person attendance from the public. However, thanks to its online streaming, we were able to congregate more than 100 attendees online. And, if you missed it, don't worry: you can enjoy it here.
