Women and Science 2020 - Round table

11 February 2020 ·

Supporting the day of women and girls in Science and as part of a broader cycle under the same name, CEBE organizes a roundtable under the title: "Towards gender equality in science: are we on the right track?". During the debate, 4 scientists well-versed in the gender gap in science will critically analyze current measures and their effectiveness (or lack thereof) in this matter and discuss how they may be improved. They will focus as well on current challenges to greater equality. For such an enriching debate, we are pleased to welcome :

Nellie Konijnendijk - HR Advisor Equality at VUB

Flora de Pablo – Professor at Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas Margarita Salas (CSIC) and first president and founder of AMIT (Asociación de Mujeres Investigadores y Tecnólogas)

Daniel Pérez – Science communicator and researcher at the University of Lund (Sweden)

Tania Van Loon - President of BeWiSe (Belgian Women In Science)

This roundtable will be conducted in English and will be held on March 6th at 18.30h in the Muntpunt library (Brussels). After the roundtable, a reception will be offered by CEBE. Attendance to the event is free, but due to limited space, registration is mandatory in the following link :
