04 May 2019 ·

A new event in the series "Science Beyond The Lab" in which we aim to show the paths to alternatives to the work in the lab and/or academia. In this occassion, we focus on the EU grant proposal writing.

Sooner or later researchers are confronted with the challenge of writing a winning research proposal. In this seminar, we will overview the main EU and Belgian funding sources, as well as tips and tricks for maximizing the chances of getting the sought-after funding.

Two experienced speakers will share their knowledge with us.

She will overview the European funding opportunities, with an emphasis on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. She will explain the eligibility and the application process, sharing tips and useful advices along the way.

David Veredas, Professor of Finance at Vlerick Business School and the University of Ghent, will briefly present Belgian research funding from the viewpoint of the submitter. More importantly, he will share his 22 years of experience, focusing on tips, dos & don'ts, and best experiences. Some will surprise you!
