Science & Pintjes: Leuven - 10 Diciembre 2016

Do you want to hear about Einstein’s ultimate dream? Would you like to listen to the sounds produced by the stars? Will we find a cure for Alzheimer soon?

All these questions and more will be answered during the second Science and Pintjes event organized by CEBE/SSBE, Científicos Españoles en Bélgica/Spanish Scientists in Belgium, a science outreach event in a bar, with a relaxed atmosphere and beers/drinks.

The talks are given in English.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Thomas Van Riet works as an assistant professor at KULeuven in the institute of Theoretical Physics. His main research topics are relativity, supergravity, string theory and cosmology!

Katrien Kolenberg is a Marie Curie Fellow between Harvard University (USA) and the KU Leuven, and teaches as a guest professor at the University of Antwerp. Her research focus on astronomy, more specifically on stellar sound waves!

Amira Latif-Hernández is a PhD student at KULeuven in the laboratory for biological psychology. She studies different aspects of Alzheimer in mice!
